Zentangle Inspired Shoes

November 30, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

$45

A Zentangle is an abstract drawing created using repetitive patterns. The invention of the Zentangle was intended to make the act of drawing pleasurable, meditative and accessible to all. This class demonstrates and encourages participants to draw simple Zentangle style flowers, leaves and shapes. It shows how the use of shapes and colour can be the inspiration for custom making bespoke footwear.

At the end of the class you will get to take home a pair of bespoke footwear created in your preferred colours and the experience of seeing how simple designs can take something ordinary and transform it into something beautiful.

What to bring
A new pair of simple canvas shoes that are the right size for you (or the person you are creating for). These can be purchased from Kmart ($3 to $10) or similar. Any comfortable sytle will work (elastic side or lace up) but must be plain white canvas on the top.

Optional: Instead of canvas shoes you may bring a calico bag to work on.

Appropriate for
Adults and children ages 8+. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
