Whirligig Part 2 – construction of whirligig

October 29, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$90

Part 2 of the whirligig class completes the whirligig construction using the pieces made in Part 1 or using the optional ‘wood chopper kit’*. The tools used in this class include a wire bender, pliers, tube cutter, drill, screw driver and clamps (lots of clamps).

The class has been scheduled to go all day to allow for glue to dry and participants to work at their own pace so you may be finished a lot earlier. The purpose of the class is to give you a practical understanding of how whirligigs work and how they are constructed. We will have periodic rest breaks during the day and participants are welcome to use our fridge and microwave if you would like to BYO lunch.

*The optional ‘wood chopper kit’ is for participants who didn’t do Class 1. The kit consists of the pieces that were prepared in Part 1 and will be a basic colour.
