Leather Armour Making: Vambraces

In this class you will learn basic leather working skills while creating your very own hand made leather vambraces under the guidance of leather crafter Chris Cawley from Ironbark Armoury.

The class will cover basic leather work tools and techniques while teaching you how to make two leather vambraces. The workshop does not include leather as this will allow people to choose the leather they want to work with.

You will need to bring with you a leather hide of 2mm or more thickness. All other materials and tools will be provided.

This class is great for beginners and people completely new to leather working wanting to learn new skills in a fun interactive workshop.

What is a vambrace? A vambrace is armour that covers the forearm.

Chris is a Brisbane based, self taught leather crafter with 2 years experience within the LARP community making armour and leather accessories. Recently starting his own business Ironbark Armoury, making original leatherwork pieces and artistic designs.
